1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted
2 tablespoons brown sugar
powdered sugar (optional)
fresh fruit (optional)
whipped cream (optional)

Directions:

Preheat waffle maker. In a bowl, stir together flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Make a well in the center of flour mixture; set aside. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs slightly and then stir in milk, melted butter, and brown sugar. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture; stir until combined. Pour batter onto the waffle maker and keep the lid closed until done. Sprinkle waffles with powdered sugar, if desired, and serve with sliced strawberries or other fruit and whipped cream!
