12 oz. fresh cranberries
2/3 c. sugar or honey
1/3 c. apple cider or orange juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. Calvados or dark rum (optional)
1/2 to 1 c. toasted pecans or walnuts (hickory nuts if you have them)

Directions:
Directions:
Microwave washed cranberries, honey and cider, covered. Cook on high 2 minutes. Stir. Cover lightly and cook about 2 - 5 minutes on high, or until skins begin to pop. (Watch, so you don't end up with a red mess!) Add vanilla, Calvados and nuts. Cook until most berries have popped.
