1 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 recipe Frosting Mix (see below)
2 tsp. almond or vanilla extract

1 c. chopped candied mixed fruit (I substitute red and green candied cherries, quartered.)
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp salt

FROSTING MIX:
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. flaked coconut
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 c. chopped pecans
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine.
Blend ingredients together and cut in butter.

FUDGE FROSTING:
1/2 c. sweetened condensed milk
1 c. (6 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. almond or vanilla extract.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, frosting mix and almond or vanilla extract. Add chopped fruit, flour, salt. Mix well.

Shape into 1-inch balls. Place 1 1/2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet; flatten. Place 1 teaspoon fudge frosting on each. Top with pecan half.

Bake at 300º for 18 to 20 minutes until lightly browned.

FUDGE FROSTING: Melt chocolate in condensed milk over low heat; remove from heat. Add salt, extract and blend well.
