Directions:

Beat eggs for 5 minutes. Gradually add sugar.

Combine flour, soda and spices. Add alternately with pumpkin. Spread thinly in a well-greased and floured jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch). Sprinkle with nuts.

Bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Immediately turn out on a tea towel that has been sprinkled with powdered sugar. Roll up like a jelly roll. Cool for 30 minutes. Unroll and spread with cream cheese filling and roll again.

FILLING: Beat all filling ingredients until smooth.

This is my favorite recipe from Carolyn. Sometimes when I came home from college, she would have baked me one. Once, she gave it to me on a pink depression glass plate.
