3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1.2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. melted shortening
1/2 c. cocoa
1/4 c. evaporated milk
2 tbsp. water
1 c. sugar
1 tbsp.corn syrup
1tsp. vanilla
2 unbeaten eggs
2/3 finely cut nuts

Sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt. In a sauce pan mix together the shortening and cocoa. Stir in gradually the milk and water. Add the sugar, corn syrup, and vanilla. Mix well. Add the eggs and nuts. Combine dry ingredients with wet ingredients. Spread in a greased pan. Bake 25 minutes at 350.
