2 Cans Bush's Chili Beans
1 Can Red Kidney Beans (drained and rinsed)
1 14 1/5 oz can Diced Tomatoes (chili/mexican/italian spices)
1 1/2 lbs Hamburger
1 Onion diced
Dried peppers (to taste)
Salt and Pepper (to taste_
1 8 oz can Tomato Sauce (a seasoned variety)
2 Tbls Chili Powder
1/2 - 1 Can of water
2 tsp Cumin

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the hamburger with onions, salt and pepper.
Add all of the other ingredients in a pot and start heating. Add the cooked meat to the sauce.
Bring to a low bowl and then turn down heat to low simmer for 45 minutes to an hour. (The water will cook down over time use the quantity based on how thick you like your chili).
I use peppers that Dale or Lynn has dried, but you can also buy whole dried peppers at the grocery store, dice and add to taste.

This is a recipe of my own design; I have entered it into several chili contests at work and always came in 2nd place, then I added some of Lynn's dried peppers; 1st place ever since.

When you buy the tomatoes/chili beans/tomato sauce always buy the ones that have additional seasoning already added. They different flavors blend beautifully and you don't have to have a lot of time on the heat since the flavors have already been cooked into the product you bought!
