2 pounds stew beef
4 carrots, cut in large chunks
1/2 onion, cut in wedges
4 to 5 potatoes, quartered
1 cup chopped celery
1 cup tomato juice
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. instant tapioca
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions:

Stir all together. Place in greased baking dish and cover tightly. Bake at 250 degrees for 6 hours. Do not remove lid during baking.
