Ingredients for Cake Batter:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
2 T. baking powder
Salt
1/2 c. milk
2 T. cocoa
1 t. vanilla
Ingredients for pudding:
2 c. sugar
4 T. flour
2 T. cocoa
3 c. milk
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Batter: Mix in order given. Mix cocoa in a little hot water to blend. Pour into well greased, floured deep size 2 1/2 quart bowl. Let set while making pudding. Pudding: Mix pudding in order given and cook until thick. Pour over batter. Do not mix. Bake at 350 for about 45 minutes until batter looks and tests done with toothpick. Pudding goes to bottom and batter rises to top when done. Serve hot. Refrigerate what's left and good when cold.
