1 1/2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. water
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup Water
1 cup Light Corn Syrup
3 Tbsp Butter
1# "unroasted" peanuts-shelled

Directions:
Directions:
Butter 2 baking sheets and keep them warm.
Combine soda, 1 teaspoon water and vanilla. Set aside.
Combine sugar, 1 cup water and corn syrup in a large saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally to 240 (soft ball stage on a Candy Thermometer)
Stir in butter and peanuts, cook stirring constantly to 300 (hard crack stage) Watch carefully so it doesn't burn.
Remove from heat and stir into Soda mixture thoroughly.
Pour 1/2 candy mixture onto each Warm baking sheet. Quickly spread evenly about 1/4" thick.
Cool and break apart.
