2 cups grits
2 quarts water
1 stick butter
6 ounces American cheese, grated
3 cloves garlic
3 eggs, beaten
2 cups milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cook grits in salted water until tender, but not too thick. Remove from heat and add garlic, butter and cheese and let cool. Add eggs and milk and pour into a greased medium–sized casserole (2 quart). Bake at 325º for 45 minutes to one hour.
