Cake:
If using the square of chocolate, melt squares in the boiling water and stir until melted. Cream the butter and sugar together, add each of the ingredients, mixing well after each addition. Pour into greased and floured cake pans. Bake at 350 degrees for about 30minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10minutes and remove from pans.

Seven-minute Frosting:
Place all ingred. except vanilla in double boiler.
Beat 1 min. with electric mixer(be sure water is boiling in bottom of boiler), continue beating constantly until mixture forms peaks, about 7 min. Remove from heat, add vanilla and beat 'til of spreading consistency. Spread on cooled cake.
Will frost tops and sides of two 9" layers or one 10" tube pan. To ice a 13"x9" cake, halve all of the ingred. and only cook for 4 min.!

Personal Notes:
This is another of my Mom's recipes...I assume that the cake is named after the person who shared the recipe with her.
