1 head lettuce (washed and torn)
6 stalks celery (sliced)
2 cans water chestnuts (sliced)
6 green onions (chopped)
1 box frozen petite peas
1 lb. grated cheddar cheese
1/2 lb bacon (fried and crumbled)
3 tbsp sugar
1/2 to 3/4 cup mayo

Directions:
Directions:
Place lettuce in bottom of large plastic bowl. Layer celery, water chestnuts, onions and peas in top of lettuce. ***DO NOT MIX*** Using a spatula cover with mayo and sprinkle with sugar. Cover with airtight lid and let set in layers in refrigerator for 8 hours before serving. Lightly toss with grated cheese and browned bacon.
