butter the size of an egg
3 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
3 T. flour
1 c. milk
3 T. cocoa
1 t. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar. Add yolks, add flour that has been mixed with cocoa. Add milk slowly. Cook over low heat stirring constantly until thickened. Add vanilla. When cooled pour into a baked pie shell and top with meringue. Brown in slow oven at 300º
MERINGUE
3 egg whites
6 T. sugar
1/2 t. vanilla
pinch of cream of tartar
Beat egg whites until stiff. Add cream of tartar. Add sugar 1 T. at a time. Beat until stiff peaks are formed. Add vanilla.
