2 cups sugar
1 cup lard
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup cocoa
1 cup sour milk
2 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp soda in flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup boiling water (to be added last)

1 cup sugar
1/4 cup margarine (1/2 stick)
1/4 cup milk
1 square chocolate

Batter will be thin. Bake 1 hour at 350

Bring all ingredients except vanilla to boil. Allow to boil for 1 minute without stirring. Set in pan of cold water until cool. Add vanilla. Beat until it looses its shine. Spread on cake.
