3 c. flour
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
4 c. baking apples, peeled and chopped
2 eggs
1 c. oil
1/4 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Butter Sauce:
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. sour cream
1/2 c. (1 cube) butter

Sift dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Then stir in the apples, eggs, oil, buttermilk, vanilla, and nuts. Pour into a well greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. To prepare butter sauce combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Let cool slightly. To serve slice cake and drizzle each piece with butter sauce.
