2 cups unsweetened applesauce
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. allspice
pinch of ginger
pinch of cloves

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan, combine the ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 1 hour. Cool. Serve as a spread.

When my twins were babies, my cousin Jaimie would come over and help me with them. We also would do some cooking together from time to time. Jaimie was in the mood for apple butter one day. I found this recipe at BHG.com. We enjoyed this simple recipe.
