1 lb. Green Split Peas
2 Qts. Cold Water
1 Cup Diced Onion
1 Cup Sliced Carrots
2 or 3 Cups Diced Ham

Directions:
Directions:
Sort and rinse peas. Let peas stand 1 hour in cool water before cooking. Add onion, carrots and ham. Simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally. Cook about 1 and 1/2 hours. Add salt and pepper.
