11/2 pound of ground beef
1/2 pound ground round pork (optional)
1cup chopped onion
1 clove crushed garlic
1 (pound 12 ounces) can whole tomatoes.
1 15 ounce cab tomato sauce
1 1/2 Tablespoon parsley flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon crushed basil leaves
1 (2 pound) carton large curd creamed cottage cheese.

1 teaspoon crushed oregano leaves
8 ounces of lasagna noodles, cooked and well drained
3/4 pound Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef and pork, onion garlic in skillet. Drain. In large saucepan put in tomatoes; stir in tomato sauce, parsley flakes, sugar, salt and basil. Add ground beef and pork. Simmer uncovered 1 hour. Heat oven to 350. Mix cottage, 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, parsley flakes, 1 teaspoon salt and oregano. In oblong baking dish, 13 1/2 x 9 x 2 inches layer half each of noodles, sauce, Mozzarella cheese, cottage cheese mixture. Repeat; reserve enough sauce for thin layers on top. Spread sauce on top. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese. Bake uncovered for 45 to 55 minutes
Let stand 15 minutes before serving. Cut in squares.
