1 ounce fresh parmesan cheese, grated (about 1/4 cup)
3 T butter softend
1 garlic glove, pressed (I use fresh bottled minced)
8 slices sourdough bread
8 slices Monterey Jack cheese
8 oz sliced deli ham
4 tsp Dijon Mustard
1 medium tomato, sliced into 8 thin slices

Directions:
Directions:
Mix butter, garlic and parmesan cheese.
For each sandwich, layer half of the Monterey Jack cheese and all of the ham on 4 bread slices. Spread ham with 1 tsp mustard, top with tomato slices. Cover with remaining cheese and bread slices.
Spread butter mixture on ousides of sandwiches. Place sandwiches on griddle or frying pan and cook over medium heat 3-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Serve immedietely- cut in half or fourths.
