1 lb. fine oatmeal
6 oz. self-rising flour
pinch of salt
4 oz. currants or raisins
4 oz. stick butter, slightly soft
1 1/2 c. buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients and then cut or crumble in butter. Add enough buttermilk to make a fine dough. Roll into small balls, mashing raisins in, with floured hands. Drop into stew that is ready to boil gently 40-50 minutes
