3 c. flour
1 1/4 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, well beaten
5 Tbsp. water
1 Tbsp. vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
Cut shortening into flour and salt. Combine egg, water and vinegar. Pour liquid into flour mixture all at once. Blend with a spoon just until four is moistened. This is an easy crust to handle and can be rerolled without becoming tough. It will keep up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator.

June and Mayes hosted a baptism on the creek one year. By the time the candidates were baptized, Dobbie Blackley pushed one of the Trustees in the creek, He reached back and grabbed her and took her in with him. Before we knew what was happening, half a dozen more were pushed or jumped in. That's a baptism I'll never forget!
