2 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsps. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. butter
1/2 c. cooking oil
1/4 c. cocoa powder
1 c. water
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
Icing:
1 c. butter
4 tbsp. cocoa powder
6 tbsp. milk
1 lb. powdered sugar
1/2 c. pecans or walnuts, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 4 ingredients together in bowl. In a small saucepan, mix the next 4 ingredients (butter, oil, cocoa, and water) and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and pour over flour mixture. Beat well. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk. Add buttermilk mixture, eggs, and vanilla to cake batter and beat well. Pour into 12 X 18 inch greased and floured baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
While cake is baking, prepare icing:
Melt butter, cocoa powder, and milk over low heat. Pour powdered sugar in a deep bowl, and pour melted butter mixture over top. Beat until smooth. Add nuts if desired. Pour over cake immediately after removing from oven.
Cool and serve.
