8 cube steaks
flour seasoned with salt & pepper
large onion, cut in half and sliced 1/4" thick
4-6 new potatoes, washed and quartered
2-3 carrots, peeled and quartered (if desired)
1/2 c soy sauce
1/4 c water
1/4 c red wine (if desired)

Directions:
Directions:
Dredge steaks in flour mixture and place in large baking pan. Arrange potatoes (and carrots if using) around steaks. Place onion slices on top of steaks.

Mix soy sauce, water and wine (if using) and pour over all. Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 350 for 1 1/2 hours or at 400 for 1 hour.
