2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. rice
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. picante sauce
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
4 strips bacon, fried and crumbled
3 Tbsp. onion, chopped
2 Tbsp. bacon grease

Directions:
Directions:
Boil water and salt; slowly stir in rice. Lower heat; cover and cook slowly for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. (Or cook rice according to directions on package.) Boil tomato sauce, picante sauce and bell pepper. Add bacon. Fry onion in bacon grease; add to mixture. Simmer for about 20 minutes. Pour over cooked rice and mix well.
