1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. corn meal
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 tsp. baking powder
1 Tbsp. shortening
1/2 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Slice Onions into rings.
Mix all ingredients to make batter. Dip onion rings into batter. Deep fry in hot fat for 2 or 3 minutes; drain on paper towel
