Beef Oriental Recipe

1 9oz package frozen French-style green beans
3/4 lb round steak
1/2 c chopped onions
1/4 c soy sauce
1/2 c water
1/4 t garlic powder
1/4 t pepper
2 c cooked rice
2 T peanut oil
1 c fresh bean sprouts

Slice meat to approximately 1/2" slices. In a large heated skillet place 1 T oil. Cook meat until lightly browned (3-5 minutes) and remove to plate (meat will cook more later). Add remaining tablespoon of oil and onion to same pan and cook until onion is tender (4-6 minutes).

Add meat back to pan. Add soy sauce, water garlic powder and pepper and incorporate into mixture. Add green beans and bean sprouts. Let simmer for 30 to 45 minutes. Serve on top of rice.
