1 whole fryer chicken cut up
1 Tbl. oil
1/3 c. soy sauce
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. water
1 Tbl. ketchup
1/4 c. dry sherry or apple juice
1/2 - 3/4 tsp. crushed red pepper
1 clove garlic pressed
1 green onion
2 Tbl. cornstartch
1 Tbl. water
2 tsp. taosted sesame seeds

Heat oil in dutch oven - brown chicken. Mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, water, ketchup, sherry, red peppers, garlic and green onions. Pour over chicken. Cover simmer 35 - 40 min.
Remove chicken, skim off fat from sauce - blend together cornstartch and water and stir into sauce, to thicken - stir constantly - pour over chicken add sesame seeds and serve
