"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Personal Notes:
I used to make this all the time with the fruit in our backyard. Because of all the sugar in it, I thought it was bad for us, so I stopped making it. I experimented this winter with Splenda and it is just as good. The proportions given are just a guide line. If the fruit is really sweet, the sugar/sweetener can be reduced by as much as a half. The recipe is easily doubled or tripled.
