3 cups sugar 1 cup butter 3 cups cake flour 1 cup sour cream 6 eggs, separated 1 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp soda 1/8 tsp salt
Cream butter and sugar. Sift flour, soda and salt. Add eggs (yolks only) to butter and sugar mixture. Add dry ingredients and sour cream alternately. Add vanilla. Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold egg whites into other ingredients. Bake 1.5 hours at 350º.
