1 stick butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 egg 1 cup chopped pecans or 1/2 cup shredded coconut,optional 1 cups flour
1 heaping teaspoon baking
powder teaspoon nutmeg Grated rind of 1 lemon 3 tablespoons lemon juice

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and egg until smooth. Then add all dry ingredients along with lemon rind and lemon juice. Drop heaping tablespoons of the mixture 2 inches apart on a sprayed cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until light golden brown, approximately 8-10 minutes. Cool 1 minute and then place cookies on a cooling rack.
