1 28 oz. can sauerkraut
1/2 c. sugar
1 cup diced celery
1/2 cup diced green pepper
1/2 cup diced sweet onion
1 t. celery seed
3 T. diced pimento
3 T. vinegar
3 T. vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Drain kraut for 15 minutes in colander. Cut with kitchen scissors into 1" pieces. Mix the remainder ingredients thoroughly & pour over kraut. Toss. Cover & store in fridge. Will keep a long time.

I got this recipe from babysitter, Mary Lee Meadows. She served it with soup beans. It's a nice alternative to chow-chow. If you want more of a spiced up flavor, use the Bavarian style kraut that contains caraway seed.
