2 ½ C. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 C. sugar
½ C. butter; softened
½ C. milk
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a medium-sized bowl, sift together dry ingredients: flour, baking soda, and baking powder. Set aside.

In your mixer, cream together the butter, milk and sugars. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Slowly add the dry mixture, and mix well.

Shape the dough into teaspoon-sized balls and drop onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes. Remove from the oven and transfer immediately to a cooling rack.
