2 green onions, cut into pieces
1 clove garlic
1 thin slice ginger root, optional
1 egg white
1 1/2 tsp cornstarch
1 1/2 tsp dry sherry
1 1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup water-chestnuts
1/2 lb raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 thin slices firm white bread, crusts removed
1/4 cup soft butter or margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Process cut up green onions, garlic and ginger root until coarsely chopped. Add egg white, cornstarch, sherry and salt and process for 2 seconds. Add water-chestnuts and process on-off until coarsely chopped. Add shrimp and process on-off until finely chopped. Butter both sides of the bread slices. Spread shrimp paste on bread then cut into 4 triangles. Place on baking tray. Can be refrigerated for as long as 8 hours. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes at 350.
