3 tbsp vegetable oil
3 green onions, chopped
1 10oz package frozen peas
8 water-chestnuts, sliced
2 tbsp cornstarch
1/3 cup water
1 cup hot chicken stock
1 tbsp soy sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Heat the vegetable oil in a saucepan over moderate heat. Add chopped onions and cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Add the frozen peas and water-chestnuts and continue cooking, covered, 3 or 4 minutes until the peas are defrosted.

Blend cornstarch with the water to form a smooth paste. Add to the peas and stir well. Add the hot chicken broth and soy sauce and cook just until the sauce bubbles. Serve at once.
