2 cups sugar
1 cup water
3/4 cup light Karo
1/2 tsp cinnamon oil or
3/4 tsp peppermint or
1 tsp wintergreen
Food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Mix first 3 ingredients. Cook until it is 300º. Remove from heat - add color and flavor and mix. Pour into well greased plate or pan. The moment the candy is cool enough to touch, cut into 1/2" stripes with scissors. Then cut the strips into tiny chunks. Drop candies on to a greased cookie sheet.
KINDS: red - cinnamon,
green - wintergreen,
blue - clove,
clear - peppermint,
black - anise
