4 cup sliced peeled apples (tart)
1/4 cup orange juice
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
dash salt
1/2 cup margarine

Directions:
Directions:
Mound apples in buttered 9" pie plate. Sprinkle with orange juice. For topping, combine sugar, flour, spices and salt. Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Scatter over apples. Bake at 375 for 45 min.

This is the written recipe. According to Shirley (who does this by memory), she uses 9 apples, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp nutmeg, 1 stick of margarine. The other ingredients are the same as listed.
