Soak I whole chicken for at least 1 hr. in
1 gal cold water
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. kosher salt
DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP

1 beer, coke or can of lemonade, 3/4 full

RUB
1 T. ground cumin
1 T. curry powder
1 T. chili powder
1 1/2 t. ground allspice
1 1/2 t. black pepper
1/2 t. ground cinnamon

1. Brine chicken and apply spice rub.
2. Open beer can and pour out (or drink) about 1/4 c. With a church key can opener, punch two more hole in top of can. Slide chicken over the can (up his or her you know what) so that drumsticks reach down to bottom of can and chicken stands upright.
3. Place chicken in middle of the grill . NOW LIGHT THE GRILL Bake 1 1/2 hour over medium heat.
4 Be careful removing chicken from grill and can.
