2 c. flour
2 c. quick rolling oats
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/4 c. butter (softened)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt

1 jar Smuckers caramel topping
3 tbsp. flour
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350. Grease 9x13 pan. In a large bowl, beat base ingredients with mixer until crumbly. Reserve half the base mixture for the topping, then press remaining mixture into bottom of 9x13 oan. Bake 10 minutes. In small bowl, stir caramel topping with 3 tbsp flour. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over crust. Drizle caramel mixture over chocolate chips and nuts. Sprinkle reserved mixture on top. Bake 18-22 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely 1 hour on baking rack then refrigerate 1-2 hours. Cut into bars.

Personal Notes:
I use peanut butter chips as well as chocolate chips. I mix them or do half the pan one and half the pan the other kind of chip. Also, original receipe called for pecans.
