"I have long believed that good food, good eating is all about risk. Whether we're talking about unpasteurized Stilton, raw oysters or working for organized crime 'associates,' food, for me, has always been an adventure."--Anthony Bourdain

4 -6 c. freshly popped popcorn salt 1 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. butter 1/2 c. light corn syrup 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preheat oven to 250º Lightly salt the popcorn. Place the popcorn in a shallow roasting pan. In a heavy saucepan, mix the sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Get an adult to stir the mixture over medium heat until it boils. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring. Remove saucepan from heat and stir in vanilla and baking soda. Pout the mixture over the popcorn and stir well to coat. Bake for 1 hour. Cool, then break into small clumps.
