Ingredients:
Rump roast
1-2 cloves of garlic (depending on your taste)
kitchen bouquet
salt and pepper
oil and flour
approx. 1 cup chopped onion ( I use processor)

Directions:
Directions:
Remove fat from the roast, pierce areas around the roast and insert pieces of garlic inside. salt, pepper to taste, brown over low heat in oil on top of stove. This will take about 30 minutes. Add approx. 1 cup of water, add chopped onions and bring to a low boil. cook for several hours until tender. May require more salt and pepper. I sometimes add a packet of McCormick onion gravy mix at the end if there isn't enough gravy. May need to add small amounts of water during cooking period. On Sundays, after I brown the roast I cover and put in the oven at 300 degrees for about 3 hours. Serve with rice. This is great served the next day on french rolls.
