1/2 c. butter 3 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 t. soda 1 egg 3 t. baking powder 1 c. buttermilk salt & vanilla
Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and buttermilk and mix well. Stir in dry ingredients. Take pieces of dough and roll into a pencil shape, shaping into a figure 8. Place on baking sheet and bake at 375º for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned.
