2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar1 T. baking powder
1 t. kosher salt
6 T. unsalted butter, cold, cubed
1 c. sharp cheddar, shredded
1 c. buttermilk
1 egg, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450, line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly coat with nonstick spray.

Whisk dry ingredients together in a bowl. Cut in butter with 2 knives until the size of peas, then add the cheese.

Combine buttermilk and egg in a bowl, then stir into flour mixture just until incorporated. Portion batter onto the prepared baking sheet using an ice cream scoop or 1/4 c. measure. Bake 15 minutes or until tops brown
