Dough
1/2 C mashed potatoes
2 C milk
1/2 C shortening
1/3 C sugar
1/2 C cold water
2 eggs (beaten)
2 1/2 T yeast
1/2 T salt
6-7 C flour

Glaze
2 C powdered sugar
1/4 C corn syrup
1 tsp vanilla
hot water

Directions:
Directions:
Scald potatoes, milk, shortening and sugar. Add water, eggs, yeast and salt. Blend in flour. Let raise, roll out, cut out, and fry at 375.

For glaze:
Add sugar, syrup, vanilla, and enough hot water to make a thin glaze.

for roll icing: same except leave thicker
chocolate icing: same as roll icing with cocoa added.
