8 c water (divided);
3 family-sized tea bags;
1 sprig fresh mint (about 1/4 c leaves);
3/4 c sugar;
1/4 c fresh lemon juice;
8 lemon slices (optional);
8 mint sprigs (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Bring 4 c water to a boil in medium saucepan. Add tea bags and mint to pan, steep 10 minutes. Remove and discard bags and mint.

Combine sugar and juice in a glass measuring cup. Add 1/2 c hot tea mixture; stir until sugar dissolves. Pour sugar mixture into 2 qt pitcher. Add 4 c cold water; stir.

Serve over ice. Garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs, if desired.
