1 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 T cocoa
2 tsp baking powder
3/4 C sugar
1/2 C milk
2 T melted shortening
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, salt, cocoa, baking powder and sugar. Add milk, vanilla and shortening. Mix until smooth. Add 1 cup chopped nuts. Pour into greased pan. Mix together 1 cup brown sugar, 2 tablespoonfuls cocoa. Sprinkle over batter. Over entire batter pour 1 3/4 cup hot water. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Top with whipped cream or ice cream. Cake is on top, chocolate sauce on bottom.
