3 pint baskets fresh strawberries (washed and cleaned)
2/3 C water
2 Tbs cornstarch
1/2 C sugar
1 tsp red food color
1 9" baked pie shell

Directions:
Directions:
Measure 1 basket strawberries, 2/3 C water, 2 T cornstarch, 1/2 C sugar and 1 t red food color into blender. Mix. Cook over medium heat in saucepan until thickened. Cool, stirring occassionally. Add remaining strawberries and turn into baked pie shell. Chill. Top with thipped cream, if desired.

This pie can be made sugar free by substituting liquid sweetner for sugar.
