1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
2/3 large, ripe bananas
2 cups flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup walnut pieces

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening
Add beaten eggs
Mix soda with mashed bananas; add to first mixture
Blend in remaining ingredients
Bake at 350 for 1 hour
Makes one loaf
