1/2 cup shortening
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 egg yolks (beaten)
4 Tablespoons sour milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup mashed bananas (about 2)
1 2/3 cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 cup black walnuts

1. Cream shortening and sugar.
2. Add remaining ingredients.
3. Fold in 2 egg whites, beaten stiff.
4. Put in greased pan. Bake at 350 for 35 min.
