Crust:
3 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 C shortening
1/2 C milk
1 gg yolk
Filling:
6 C peeled, sliced apples
1 1/2 C sugar
2 tbsp cinnamon
2 tbsp flour
1/4 C soft butter
1 egg white, beaten slightly

Directions:
Directions:
Crust: Mix flour and salt and cut in shortening. Combine milk and egg yolk and add to flour. Roll our half of the mixture on floured surface to fit 11" x 16 1/2" sheet. Roll bottom layer in pan.
Filling: Arrange apples on crust. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon and sprinkle over apples. Dot with butter. Roll out remaining pastry. Place over top and brush with egg white. Bake at 375F for 30-40 min. Spread glaze over warm danish.
