1 chocolate cake mix (Duncan Hines) without pudding.
1 pkg. kraft caramels
1 c. Carnation milk
1 c. walnuts (optional)
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 Cool Whip

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cake mix according to directions on box. Pour 1/2 the prepared batter into 9x13 in. pan. bake at 350 for 18 min. Melt caramels, blend with carnation milk. Pour over baked batter. Sprinkle walnuts over caramels then sprinkle chocolate chips over caramels. Pour rest of unbaked batter over all and bake rest of time on package (15-18 min.) Better served the second day. Top with Cool Whip.
